Sound Design and Implementation for video games

Sound is often regarded as something that is not very important in video games. That is not true,
sound is very important to create real immersive words and give feedback as part of the gameplay
elements. In this workshop we are going to talk about the importance of sound, show you how to create
sounds by editing them in Reaper and how to implement them in Unreal Engine.

Christos Douris (b. 1993) is an Athens based sound designer and music producer. Since 2015 has
been active in the video game communities and participating in numerous game projects and
game jams. Since 2019 has also been working in film, 360 video and video art.
Leonidas Papakonstantinou is based in Athens has been a sound designer, musician and
composer for the last 16 years. He has worked on different projects such as: Applications,
podcasts, trailers, cinematic scenes, Escape rooms but his passion is Video Games.
He is currently designing the sound in a Video Game that is expected to be released soon and is
called Phobos Subhuman. In addition to Sound Design, he creates foley sounds and original
SFXs for libraries.
