Physical presence is fragile and temporal. It simultaneously contains and expands the dimensions of the space it exists in, causing temporal splits that present reflexive asymmetry, a turning back on the self such that change is inevitable. My piece relies on immateriality to embody a citational existence, recalling a shared characteristic of human sociality and media that makes us both referent and reference. What lies within this space between our speculations and our reality? I have a need for this to be something tangible. As a media artist, I wonder about my role as one who creates concept through process and action. Creating an idea through material mediation, and inserting myself physically in that process. It is an embodied act of time-passing which materializes as exploration of a photonic playscape.

I am a multimedia artist based in Providence, RI. My work prioritizes conceptual investment, specifically in physical modes of embodiment and immateriality, and in disidentification of form. I study optical and photic phenomena, and employ these mechanics in my practice to manifest fabricated dimensions, installations, video compositions, performances, and image-based byproducts. I come from a background in printmaking and sometimes produce editions of printed material. I received a MFA in Electronic Integrated Arts from Alfred University in 2021, and a BFA in Printmaking from University of Connecticut in 2019.
