HEY MY FRIEND is a short music video dealing with with the aftermath of Covid-19. All images were taken during the high peak of quarantine in Austria. Though it was always allowed to go outside and get some fresh air. So i took my camera and captured the beauty of all empty places in Vienna. I combined the video footage with a song which i wrote and produced. It should on one side give people hope and happiness, but on the other side it’s supposed to make people realize, that there are still a lot of other terrible things happening in our world. While you’re zapping though the news nowadays, it’s hard to find information about terrible places like Baghdad or Moria, just like in my video.
Leon Stanislawski grew up in Munich, completed his bachelor's degree in Theatre-, Film-, and Mediastudies at the University of Vienna and will be studying Directing in Berlin. Just so he can get lost in a sea of unseen hipster artists. He mainly directs short films, music videos and sketches. Filming, editing and scoring is his field of work in the usually unpaid jobs he accepts. Sometimes, when he's running low on cash, you can find him acting in very bad German documentary-soap TV shows.
