This is a short documentary from the large scale interactive sound installation for 4.0 surround system THE ZONE by Volumetric Units that was created by a team of students from the School of Fine Arts of the University of Ioannina. The project was created and completed during the tuition of the Sound Design module at the University of Ioannina. It was constructed and shown at the University of Ioannina campus at the AV-Lab and was open for the public for two days (19th and 20th of February of 2020 respectively).
Volumetric Units is a project that was created by a team of students from the School of Fine Arts of the University of Ioannina. These are: Stella Giannakoudi, Evangelia Exindara, Sofia Kotsoni, Ioanna Kourgiotou, Vereniki Kontodimou, Lina Geromichali, Charis Iasonidi, Hristos Maris, Maria Arapkoule, Kantia Gonata, Lefteris Delimpasis, Michalis Kotaidis, Anna Pritsi, Renevi Polonyfi, and Nikoletta Fakiridou. The creation of the team happened during the tuition of the Sound Design module which is taught by Dimitri Batsis. Volumetric Units predominantly focus on sound-related work.
