On the verge of blindness, facing uncertainty under the sick and blurred sun, we can recollect the future by possible multiple tracks of extended perception for the time being, as long as we still have the time to dream replacing actuality and oblivion by multilayered cognition and longing.
Elena Stelzer is a multidisciplinary artist, born in Duesseldorf. She lives and works in Tel Aviv. She holds a master’s degree in German Philology and Philosophy from the University of Vienna and the University of Duesseldorf, graduated her BFA studies at the Department of Multidisciplinary Art of the Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art in 2019. Recipient of the Excellence Grant from the Daniel Arison Foundation and the Shenkar Arts Encouragement Award 2019. For Stelzer, sculpture is a radical political attitude, the main medium of her choice. In her work, she carries out provocative actions, influenced by the formal language of the minimal and conceptual art movements of the 1960s and 70s. Her works have been exhibited at the Edmond de Rothschild Center in Tel Aviv, the Triennale of Modernism in Berlin, at the CICA Museum, Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in South Korea, at the Beijing Yiyiling Art Space and the Millepiani Gallery in Rome.
