DDD is about being in a bad place due to one’s own stupidity. This place is referred to as the Ding Dong Ditch. It’s a repurposing of the phrase or game that we might have known as children. Our protagonist makes clear his grievances with how the world and those he comes in contact with treat him, although this treatment is strictly repercussion from his own actions. I think many, if not most of us can relate to being in the DDD, especially when we fall short of our own expectations and ideals.
