Born in 1978 in Tehran, Iran, Mohsen Azarm is a film critic and essayist whose articles have been published in numerous film magazines, journals, and newspapers in Iran. He started writing and translating about cinema and literature more than two decades ago. Apart from writing and making experimental films, he is the editor and chief consultant of the Cinema Department at Gilgamesh Publication House (an imprint of Chesmeh Publication House). His books include The First Seventy-Five Years (Memoirs of Bahman Farmanara, 2020), Like a Black & White Photo (100 letters of François Truffaut, 2016), A Short Film About Others (two conversations with Jean-Claude Carrière and Abbas Kiarostami, 2013). He is the director of Just 10 (2021), Here Is Where We Meet (2020), Out of Place (2020), Stay Me with Flagons, Comfort Me with Apples (2020) and, Guess Who's Coming to Brunch? (2019).
