Mark Norfolk is an award-winning experimental filmmaker and playwright. He studied independent and avant-garde filmmaking at the University of Wales Cardiff and has worked as a journalist and television producer. He also worked for a number of years as a writer in residence within a high security prison where he taught creative writing and film production and managed to publish the writings of prisoners. Mark works internationally and has won many awards for his stage work. In recent years he most notably directed a modern version of Hamlet in Kosovo. His films include features and shorts and he was recently awarded a Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award from the Covid International Film Festival in Jharkhan, India.
