The Opium Wars, a 19th-century series of armed conflicts between the Qing Dynasty and the British Empire, narrated by a History professor who has a hypnotic effect on his students. The film examines Orientalist representations that have infiltrated the European popular imagination through historiography and cinema.

Aliki Souma is a visual artist and filmmaker, mainly producing experimental films and moving image works. Appropriating the cinematic language and storytelling conventions of film genres, such as neonoir, mystery, and historical films, her work often explores the relationship between cinema, memory and dreams. Her films and videos were shown in festivals and institutions in Greece and Europe.
