Heavily influenced by John Cage’s concept of silence, Ride tries to interpret silence in an animated way and explores the possibilities of ambience. I chose to visualize the ambient sound of MTR train since train noise is rarely appreciated.
Born and live in Hong Kong. Wong Man Sze graduated from the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong in 2017. She works primarily with abstract animation and sound. Her work focuses on synesthetic experience, and the interplay of animated image and sound in experimental animation.
