“The Fishery” is the latest of “Dailies,” a series of digital images that infinitely change over time, each at its own pace. “The Fishery” gradually alters colors every few seconds, and color palettes every few hours. Behaving like an advent calendar, sundial, or almanac, it challenges the boundary between image and animation. The slow movement honors long-term thinking and renewability, rather than the spam and excess that have trended within digital art in the wake of the NFT boom.
