The Starchild refers to the last creature in the universe, a merge between the human and the machine, a cosmic computer/God that starts the cycle of life all over again.
The first part of the work is composed of found GIFs. The second part continues using interactive fiction as a format, in which players use text commands to control the character and influence the environment.
Dimitris Gkikas is a Berlin-based new media artist and designer from Athens, Greece.
Gkikas is working with found materials and systems from the internet, which he subjects to
subtle interventions to redefine their primary context in order to express his inner feelings
and ideas.
