A study in blue is the second work in a trilogy of films concerning the primary colors. The series is the artist’s attempt to create a piece in which color is not just a tool, but rather the main subject. She tries to dissect both the emotional and the cultural connotations behind each color. The original inspiration for the trilogy, which is quoted in all of the films, is Derek Jarman’s book “Chroma”.
