Vaughan Pilikian was born in London to an American mother and Armenian father. After studies in classical languages, fine art and filmmaking at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard, he has gone on to produce work in different fields as a scholar, filmmaker, painter, sculptor, designer, theatre director and performance artist. He is the author of three collections of poetry, and two volumes of translations from ancient Sanskrit epic. His awardwinning short films have screened at over one hundred festivals worldwide.
