PREMIERE ON THURSDAY 6 AUG 20:00

“To see that wheel turning was very soothing, very comforting…I enjoyed looking at it, just as I enjoy looking at the flames dancing in a fireplace.”

Marcel Duchamp elaborate how he liked watching audience to spin the wheel of his work Bicycle Wheel in the exhibition – and audience can’t even touch it after the first exhibition , indeed.
This is the first work of Marcel’s ready made object, interaction-welcome in its original character, it never been touched and spin, and the concept has been borrowing by artists for years.

“Cycling Wheel” borrows the concept of Marcel’s Bicycle Wheel, re-activate the wheel into a dynamic and interactive one, transforms its mechanics into a sound and light controller, turns Bicycle Wheel into a performative instrument, embeds the wheel with audio and lighting, creating the dancing flame just as described by Marcel Duchamp.
