Days Without You is a love letter narrated through images of an empty city. The only inhabitants of this city are a couple and their parasites (dark reflections of themselves) that separate them eventually. The landscape is empty but solid, however the memories are all blurred, lost in time in the same city that once was a safe home for them. Days Without You is an experimental short filmed during the total lockdown of London in places that are still filled with countless memories that keep them alive. As scientists warn that pandemics will be a norm in the future, the empty city of London as depicted looks more relevant than ever. A futuristic glance in the life of large cities, estranged couples and human relationships. A tribute to love, memories and loss.
I graduated with a Master's Degree in Film, Television and Screen Media from the University of London (Birkbeck College). In 2018, while working for the Derek Jarman Lab, I had the honour to edit the official trailer for the essay film "Play me Something" starring Tilda Swinton and film important events around the city. In 2019, I worked as an assistant director for the short documentary "The Lighthouse" . In 2020, my experimental film "Days Without You" was an official Lift-Off - First Time Filmmaker selection at Pinewood Studios in London and in 2022 an official selection at the Athens Digital Arts Festival. I'm currently collaborating as a visual artist with the director Elli Papakonstantinou for the show ''EROS''. Already performed for the O. festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands and the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus in Athens, our next show is in Genoa, Italy.
